Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled Network/Cloud Engineer to join our client's dynamic team. As a Network/Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based networks and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security.
Responsibilities
Design and implement cloud-based network architectures, including virtual networks, subnets, routing tables, and security groups.
Deploy and configure cloud services and resources (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to support business applications and workflows.
Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure components such as virtual machines, containers, storage, and databases.
Monitor network performance, traffic patterns, and resource utilization to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.
Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, access controls, and encryption protocols.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
Stay updated with emerging cloud technologies, trends, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., CCNA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
4 years of experience in network engineering, cloud infrastructure management, or a related role.
Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including cloud networking, compute, storage, and security services.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols, TCP/IP, VPNs, routing, and switching technologies.
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds, Splunk).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
